Alongside the film and TV work, Matt has worked concurrently in art, design, and music, and has focussed largely on working with architectural and stained glass. Following an apprenticeship in leaded glass making in London, he went on to study for a postgraduate in architectural glass at the renowned Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design and has since worked on a number of large architectural glass commissions including two John Lewis stores in the UK and projects in Azerbaijan and at Bahrain Airport.
His ability to transfer ideas across a wide range of media means that he has the freedom to move between industries and currently designs wallpapers for film sets, directs music videos, and continues to design for architectural glass projects. He has worked for all of the major TV networks and has had his work shown in London’s Institute of Contemporary Art and The National Portrait Gallery. His work is also included in a book entitled “The 100 Best Stained Glass Sites in London” which charts work in locations around London by some of the most respected artists working in stained glass between 1399 and 2015.
Matt is currently studying for an M.A. in architectural and urban design at the University of Brighton where he is exploring new ways of working with technology such as Augmented Reality and 3d scanning.
He lives in Bognor Regis, West Sussex.
